5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Solution for excess water, 6.27.2010

This is almost a perfect breakfast! All it needs is a little grits. Add a packet of Quaker instant grits and about 1/4 cup extra water and rehydrate normally. No excess water to worry about since the grits needs about 1/2 cup of water per packet anyway. I use the butter flavored grits with mine. Mmm!

If you like scrambled eggs and bacon, you'll love the flavor of this entree. It really hits the spot to appease a morning appetite. The texture of the eggs is a little odd, probably due to the freeze-dry/rehydrate process, but you don't notice it after the first bite. Bacon was in small pieces, which might not appeal to some who may be looking for bacon slices, but the flavor of the bacon was delicious. As noted here by someone else, be sure to drain thoroughly after hydrating, or it'll be a little like egg soup!

I bought this stuff from Wal-Mart to take on hunting trips with me. Don't know if they had anything thing to do with the way the contents looked (crushed) but it was still edable.

This actually tasted alot better then I thought it would. I played it risky and picked up 6 pouches before my hiking trip, not knowing if it was even worth it. The first morning, while it was rehydrating, I took down my tent and put it away, and afterwards, I tore into those eggs. Needless to say, those 6 packs did'nt last all 6 days like I planned.

A very simple and delicious breakfast item! I really liked it. Just make sure you drain the excess water out of it first or you will be eating egg soup!
